Curacao Fashion Week

From May 21 to 25 Curaçao will be the focal point of the Caribbean and international fashion scene as the Island hosts its first Curaçao Fashion Week. The impressive lineup of local and international designers showcasing their work include Adha Zelma, Aqua Di Lara, Charles Albert, Custo Barcelona, Francesca Marotta, Romero Bryan and Washington Roberts among others. Hosted at the Island’s beautiful beachfront Hilton Curaçao hotel, the event will bring together a global audience of press, retailers, stylists and industry influencers and is set to establish itself as a platform of discovery promoting innovative fashion designers through runway shows and exhibitions.
Curaçao will provide a stunning backdrop for what promises to be a hugely successful inaugural Fashion Week for our island,” says Curaçao Tourist Board CEO Ghatim Kabbara. “The event will showcase what makes Curaçao special among Caribbean Islands – a rich culture rooted in history, hospitality, exquisite beaches and spectacular diving, stunning architecture, activities and adventures for every interest, plus multicultural diversity, intriguing music, art, and much more.”

“There’s no doubt that our central location and ease of access were key factors in making Curaçao the destination of choice for this Caribbean fashion week,” Mr. Kabbara continues. “We look forward to welcoming our visitors for what promises to be a glamorous and exciting week on the island.”

Centrally located in the Caribbean with direct flights from a number of cities across the U.S., Europe and Latin America, Curaçao is expecting attendance from over 400 key fashion influencers, industry insiders, designers and photographers from around the world. Visitors can expect a fashion-packed five day agenda combining photography exhibitions, runway shows and a series of after-parties at some the Island’s hottest night spots many of which were recently highlighted in “Curaçao After Dark” by The New York Times.
